TOIL

The deWitt men are building and building at the house in Poulsbo. There are many different sizes, shapes and colors of deWitt men. We went there to visit and bring sandwiches and mama explained to me how strange it is to see a full moon in the middle of the day.
Avery and I picked blackberries from the blackberry bush and Mamam will put them on little shortcakes with lemon curd and whipped cream.
The deck is almost finished and its going to look very fancy and beautiful and will add a lot of value to the house for sale. The more the men work the more there is to do and we must be patient and not ask too many questions over and over because when they come home sweaty and tired the last thing they want to do is answer the questions of the deWitt women.

Did you take out the trash? Did the plumber fix the leak? You didn't pay him, did you? Did you water the lawn? Did you finish the deck? You weren't drinking in the car, were you?
On and on and on like this.

hey buddy boy, that's the name of the game - you work, you toil, you slog away, and WE ask what the heck got done today. Enquiring minds want to know.

In the end it's it's all worth it, Gus. "Why does the ramp have to be in OUR yard?" "How noisy is it going to be?" "So, you're saying Bruce's dad bought you ALL this wood?"

questions, such is the nature of woman...
beautifully constructed and filled with unanswered wonder.
makes you want to pierce your eardrums with ice picks.
pray the gay fairy comes in at night and turns you little man, or this fate willbe yours as well.
