there's a new kid in town

So this is the newest addition to our island posse, Lishu and Leo's baby, Himal's new brother: Kailas. Casually known as Kai. And let me tell you, he is a beaut. Teeny little hands, teeny little eyes and nose. And the innocence...oh to be young again.


We stopped by for our first of many visits. Lishu is miraculously up and around already. Himal and I went straight into our normal car playing mode, almost forgetting about the excitement of the birth.


But then I'd look in that little basket and hear those little gurgles and coos and I would remember that this is a wonderful and special time and a real real big deal.


Kishu came out again for the birth and her boyfriend Louis came from New York and Himal's mamop came all the way from Nepal to give her grandmotherly love. Lucky Kai, coming smack straight into a world full of love. Welcome brother!
