Action!

Well, I just can't get enough of movie directing. It's now getting pretty tough for Mom to take films of me without me trying to horn in on the camera. We are taking turns. My reward for good behavior is time behind the camera. I am a somewhat temperamental director, all the best ones are.

I don't know what iggypop means or why mom keeps saying it when I writhe shirtless on the floor like this.

The world premier of GUS' SNOW MOVIE CAR MOVIE

href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsxzabTgIEZl3BQaphAB-Ax8T7i_XEjBx3sDEM4MG07s5aHydPmf7YIpsa9bNiT6cMrYGfWiBw23lO-un27Yj2IG9dEqHqRTh4JW4Ec453P69xYxMI1doW9kpr1xvEydiiqZoW/s1600-h/IMG_4675.JPG">

Yep, it's snowing again. We're getting pretty used to waking up to a blanket of white in the morning. It's still pretty. I know it is summer in LA but it is winter here. Global weirding. I have made the best of the situation, I have started making movies. I am now a movie director.

The Big Shrug

It turns out, they tell me, that recently I have developed a tiny attitude, most likely due to all the showerings of presents and fun things laid on me these past two months. Whatever the reason behind it, my parents are anxiously awaiting the end of this phase. But, we all wonder, is it a phase, or is it FOUR?

Top and Gail

Meet my new fish! His name is Top, he's a Paradise Fish. There's also a little snail in the bowl whom I named Gail. Gail the Snail. And Top we call Topper sometime after the drummer of one of my top favorite bands The Clash.

I got my new pets for my birthday present from Himal and family. I feed them in the morning and at night. I never forget, except yesterday when I forgot to give Top his breakfast until after I got home from school. You should've seen how fast he swam up to get those little pieces! Go Topper go!

Thanks be to everyone for all my presents. Thanks for giving me a pet, something I can take care of myself. Now I have something living that is mine.

A Done Deal

Here we are. We are Here. At last...

Can't Stop The Party

Okay. That's it. I'm four. I partied non-stop for almost a week. I had a party at the pizza pub with all my pals. I got more toys. It was super duper awesome. I fell asleep on the rocking chair watching PeeWee's Playhouse yesterday because I'm all partied out. This is what it takes.

Rodriguez

For my birthday, my first bud Himal drove all the way up from Poulsbo to celebrate with me. That's a true blue bud.

We got to show them all the things that make up our life here, the sidewalks and the park and the neighbors and the cold bright sunlight.

Lishu and the not so baby anymore Kailas.

They spent the night with us for two nights at our house, a big fun slumber party and brother did we party!!!

the gifts that keep on getting...

Another great selection of toys from my loved ones. The line between blessed and spoiled is a bit blurred this time of year for me but I am not pressing the issue. I have another birthday party today...Oh Toyous Day!!!

New Neighbors???

Andrea and Derek came for a visit and a little neighborhood tour of the Portland area on account of the fact that they are MOVING HERE!!! They have said this to us many times before but this time they swear it is true. We are going to believe them. Don't hurt us, guys!

We took them to one of our favorite restaurants, Liberty Glass, and they were impressed which is not a super easy thing to do with these guys because they are foodeeez.

The thought of the great town of Portland with the adding of these great friends of ours to pal around with and eat meals with and share the fun makes living here seem better than ever. My parents have told me to amp up the guilt pressure, so here it is--If you guys don't move here you will break my tiny heart.

Return to the Rink

I can skate. Before I could skate with Mom holding me up and pushing me along which by the way takes a great deal of patience and physical stamina. But when we were in the snack bar, when I was trying to get from my french fries to the air hockey table and back to a corn dog, suddenly, there I was, skating back and forth, all on my own. Incentives. And we get in free to the roller rink in the southeast because it turns out the girl in charge went to elementary, middle and high school with my mom. It's another facebook miracle!

Not Not Looking Back

So, I know it is the new year and we are looking ahead to the future but dang if I keep looking back and thinking about all the fun I had with my family and friends and how great it is to have them around in my life all the time every morning when I wake and every night when I go to sleep. Why is this such an impossible thing to have the whole year round?

I miss my stupid tent time with the guys!

I miss the throwing the sheet game with Jenna!

I miss getting the sheet thrown on me too!

I miss all the people involved with my Bainbridge vacation! Why can't I move on?

Sled It Be

Just one last holiday movie before we move onto all things '09. On our way out of Bainbridge, the first day since we arrived that we were able to make it out on the old slippery country road, we stopped by our old dear friends' house, the Rodriquez, for some serious sledding. It was the fun we'd been waiting for. Good-bye to my pal Himal, for now....good-bye to the deWitt house, but not for long...good-bye to 2008, forever.
