My boy Jake

It was really very cool that Paz brought Jacob all the way up to Portland so we could know each other and hang out enough to build a lasting friendship. I need this to happen more with our long lost friends...I'm talking to you Addie, Cosmo, Ruby, Bebel, Tristan, Emmett, Luca...

I can lift him all the way up off the ground. I did this about 70 times and he never got tired of it.

Thumbs up to bro-in' down.

The Paz that refreshes. She's got another little baby girl in her belly, future sister of Jacob.

It was really great that they came to visit. I showed Jacob all my toys, I taught him how to spin dance and couch jump and I got him to put all his coin money into my bank. Thanks bud! I bought a rocket launcher today with all that piggy bank dough! Come back soon! Bring more coins!

Pregnant Paz

Mama's friend Paz from LA came up to visit us with her mom and my newest best pal, Jacob. This kid is a riot. We spent three days together partying it up pdx style. Best day was the children's museum. A montage for you:

They Say It's His Birthday

Na na na na na na na! Today is Bobby's Bday. Gosh, I wish he was here. He's coming, day after tomorrow, not soon enough. I'm making a book for him because he loves books better than anything else. I LOVE YOU GRANDPA! Quit standing on your head spitting nickels and get your big red truck down here. We got some hugging to do! You may be old as the hills but you are still my very best friend...

here come the babies...

This is the newest addition to our neighborhood, my good pal Stuart's new little sister, Ainslee. She was born on my Mamop's birthday and she has the name of Mamop's dad, my great grandpop, so I feel I have even extra connection to this little one. Did you know Stuart's dad's name is Gus? More connection. His name is Gus Goodbody, that is for real, no joke. Mom and I just went down to their house and put a tupperware full of mom's chinese chicken on their porch and then ding dong ditched them so not to disturb the new baby house. Tomorrow another baby comes to aunt Amy Lou. Everyone's having their #2 babies but not us because around here there's only #1. We are extremely content and are not rocking any boats. But we are still very anxious to enjoy everyone else's little guys...keep em coming!

Happy Gustavo Valentine's Day!

Mom and Dad decided to spend their Valentine's Day night partying with their old friends The Murder City Devils who reunited for one small tour and played a gigantic show here in our town. Both my parents were under the weather but they forced themselves out and even though they were very tired and aimless today they said it was worth it because they had so much fun. Nothing like seeing your dear friends go crazy on stage in front of hundreds of fans freaking out screaming every word to their songs. It was very nostalgic for all and there was a great deal of back stage camaraderie and laughs and memories and real true love for each other. They all look great and they all are happy with their lives. This is what you want to see and feel when you go out at night.

Do you know these people?

They used to be called Uncle Mike and Jenna. Until Monday that is when everything changed, for Uncle Mike and for our whole family. These two here are soon going to be called Mr. & Mrs. Thornhill-deWitt. Do you understand what this means? It means no more just Jenna. It is AUNT Jenna from now on. Can you believe it? They are engaged! To be married! The Big Calzone hangs up his hat and heads for home.

Special Guest Star

Guess who came by our house to drink tea and have a chat?

Nate the Great, from LA. He was in Portland, riding bikes in the cold, soaking up the vibe. There is an open invitation to all you Angelenos to come for a soak. This town is kind of like Bizarro Los Angeles, if you ever feel like feeling the opposite of what you are feeling in that town.
