The Doctor Is In

Depressed? Angry? Just feeling kinda blah? I recommend a good hearty laugh. If you can get someone to tickle ya, so much the better. (the thicker the finger the greater the tickle) But if no one's around to help you out, just clap real hard and say "AHH!" Turn that frown upside down people! Its all up to you.

the family who plays together...

Mom finally convinced dad to play tennis with her and now he is obsessed. He wants to play every night even if its raining. Yesterday Nick was home for a day and he and Mamam strolled me around the big park with the lakes and the geese and the bunnies (yes, I said bunnies!) while mom kicked dad's rear on the court. She is a better player because its in her family blood but dad is quickly gaining on her. Then Nick and Mamam hit a few balls and she was a natural. They let me hold the racket, but I just know I'm going get stuck being ball boy.

Luca Manny

This is my new buddy Luca. He is the baby of Jenn and Nate. They came over from Seattle to hang out and look at each other's child. Look how teeny tiny he is, just a little pip squeak! I felt like a giant around him. And he has a play mat thing just like I had. Oh, the memories. My parents went on and on about what a good baby Luca was, no crying, good sleeping. Okay Mom and Dad, I GET IT. No crying, good sleeping, what an made your point.

one daycare at a time

Mama joined a gym where there is a sweet daycare for me to play in while she walks in place watching CNN. We have been visiting for a week so I can get used to the ladies who live there. Today mom left me in there for 25 minutes. The first 15 I forgot to notice that she left because they have so many good toys including many mom purses with keys and cell phones inside that really ring. But then I remembered that I love and need my mom desperately so I had to tell the daycare ladies. They said she would be back soon so I stayed as close to the door as I could so I'd be ready when she came through it. Next time I'm going to try to go even longer. But I will NEVER stop loving and needing my mom desperately. (OK mom?)

Daddy killed that big red hairy thing that has been living on his face for months. He came home from work without it and me and mom were surprised and happy. She says he looks like a very pretty lady to her now. Now we can start kissing him again. He sure is glad about that! No more beards, that's the new rule.

I don't know if you can see here but something bit me on my left eyelid while I slept. It creeps me out to think that something was sleeping in my bed. I must have squished my eye right into it....aaagghhh! My Papa grandpa in California has been telling us to watch out for brown recluse spiders. Well, I got my eye on 'em! Ha! Ha! Ha! My eye on 'em! Get it?

and then they were gone

Why do they have to leave? Why can't everyone just stay and play with me everyday? What is this crap! Mike and Betsy went back home to Los Angeles where I was born. We did some stuff while they were here though, yes we did. We went to VIKING FEST in Poulsbo, where there were big fat people dressed up like vikings and wenches. I went on two rides, the Berry Go Round and the Rocket Plane, with my mom and dad. They went on the Quazar and the Giant Slide without me because I wasn't enough inches. Mom, Dad and Mamam ate Viking burgers (mistake) and Uncle Mike ate a funnel cake
We also had normal everyday days where Uncle Mike got to see how I live my life, what my favorite park is like, how I like to be pulled in my wagon and just sitting around the table, eating food, talking, laughing.
I am missing them already. I can say Uncle Mike pretty good now. I will keep saying it. Never forget.

It rained for the first time in a long time so we had a fire. Its not really even cold but it had been so long since we'd had one. I screamed HOT! when I saw it cuz I know what hot means. Fires roar you know.

showing U.M. around

We took Uncle Mike and Betsy to see the house in Poulsbo. Grandpa and Dad and "great"Uncle Victor were busy at work making lots of dust and loud noises. Uncle Mike says we stand to make a pretty profit there.
This is the Pikey Wagon which is the truck Big Vic has had for about ten years. They say it is a reflection of his true inner self. Victor says this truck will not die. He says it doesn't need oil, he says it doesn't need gas. I say it needs a few baby wipes.

Mi Mi Mi Mi !

Uncle Mike is here! Uncle Mike is here! And his girlfriend Betsy also! I've been practicing saying his name for a week: "Mi" I already remember them and feel that we are comfortable friends. So much that I let Uncle Mike play my piano and sing into my microphone. (A tip: don't put it into your mouth upside down after I just used it or you will for sure get a mouthful of my drool.) We are all so excited that they are here. Its been 3 1/2 months since I've seen my uncle and he's grown up so much!

Things you can do on the deck:

You can ask mom to give you a piggy back ride...
Help, I have a bubble chin!!!
You can watch dad blow ginormous bubbles.
Help, I have a bubble head!!!
Sometimes you really gotta beg for those piggy backs. Piggy piggy!!!

most accidents occur at home

Mama got to go to Seattle yesterday, by herself, so she could feel like a person of the world again for a few hours. She bought some pants. When she got home she gave me a bath and I played in the tub until all the water was gone down the drain, like I like to do. I was standing and reaching for the shaving cream that I know I'm not supposed to play with when I slipped and bonked my head right on the tub floor. Now that's a pain that lingers. Mom was real sad in the face cuz she tried to stop me from falling but I was too slippery for her fingers. I cried for a while and then she let me drink my milk like I did when I was a baby -- naked, on her lap, and even with a bottle instead of my adult sippy cup. That felt real nice. Almost nice enough to bonk my head again, but not quite. Danger!

Axin' Jackson

Okay, then Dad started throwing the hammer at the old dead tree. Then he threw the axe at the hammer and SPLIT THE HAMMER IN TWO !!! I'm telling you straight! You gotta find the fun where you can find it here on Bainbridge Island.
And this, as many of you know is Big Vic. In dad's axe throwing act in Vegas, Uncle Victor will be his lovely assistant.

Now I axe ya

Grandpoop came back from Tahoe and brought me this terrific axe. I got to play with it for about five minutes before my dad took it and I haven't seen it since. He goes down on the lawn and throws the axe at the dead tree. It took him a couple of tries to get his rhythm, but now he is the bullseye guy. The thing people don't always know about my dad is that he's really good at sports type stuff. Mama watches from the deck and makes woo woo noises at him. This is him throwing it, you can see the axe flying off to the left:

Happy Mama's Day

To all the mama's mamas. Today is the day all for my mom. She decides everything. She decided to sleep until 8 and then there was breakfast being made for her and things like almond roca for later and a card that dad and I signed. Then she wanted that we go for a walk in the woods where it was over 70 degrees and irie. Then we came home and she got a pizza pig for lunch and I did her chores for her. Later on my dad is taking her to the sanatarium movie house. After that, she wants a game of dominoes and the pinot noir that Paz sent, and then after THAT, it is the Sopranos. Great day for mama! I love her, I really love my mom!!!

don't try to suck on the broom while you sweep.)

first day of school

Today was my first day at baby gym class. Mom and I go together and we roll around on mats and bounce on balls with other moms and kids. I met a guy named Max today. He was black! He's 18 months and I thought maybe he and I could be friends. We'll see how it goes next week....

This is a bad picture of my mom. I'm putting it up here because some people think she has been a little to free and easy with the not-so-great pictures of other people. So this is to show the world that she is as equally funny looking as everyone else in my life.

This is (was) my new pal The Claw. He has all these hard legs and then a million little wiggly legs underneath. He tried to pinch at my dad but he was wearing rubber bands on his pinchers. He is definitely freaky, but I warmed up to him pretty quick. And then he warmed up, all the way up, when my dad dumped him head first in a pot of BOILING WATER!!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! That poor bastard. Now when I start to whine and my dad comes at me with his big black oven mitt, I am going to show some respect for reals.

Toe Eaters Anonymous

Hello, my name is Gus. And I... am a toe eater. It started when I was just a tiny baby and I discovered I could put my own toes in my mouth. But lately, I've moved on to adult toes. It used to be innocent clean fun and now its becoming a stinky gnarly nightmare. But I cannot stop. I am powerless over toes. At least I can admit that now.

The Grand Forest

This is the Grand Forest of Bainbridge where you can get lost in the trees. (And those are the new Converse I was telling you about that give me extra walking powers.)

If there are hills and bumps you just grab the hand of mom or dad. If you are feeling strong and independent you can race ahead on your own. When you get to the bridge, spit over the side like daddy taught you. And if you get tired you can ride way up high on dad's shoulders. But do not forget to pay the kiss tax...SMACK!
